Decisions
Dear Friend,

The most important decision in life you will ever make is whether or not you will surrender you heart and life to Jesus Christ and ask Him to be your personal Lord and Savior. In order to gain entrance into heaven, being religious is not enough; going to church is not enough; doing good works is not enough; you must personally decide whether or not you will have a relationship with Jesus.

Jesus loves you just like you are. He will never force you to love Him or to be in relationship with Him. You must choose one way or the other. Perhaps as you have visited our site, you have recognized your need to have a personal relationship with Jesus. The following steps and Scriptures will lead you in coming to know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior:
Step One: Even with our best efforts at living right will not measure up to God’s standards of righteousness. The Bible tells us in Romans 3:10, "There is none righteous, no, not one."
Step Two: We have all been born with what the Bible calls a sin nature. A nature that is opposed and literally, at war with God. This sin nature separates us from God. The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory (standard) of God."
Step Three: The penalty for our sin natures and thus, our sin, is to die spiritually and to be eternally separated from God in a literal place called Hell. However, God offers to forgive all who ask, of their sins and offers the free gift of eternal life to all who will place their trust and faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Step Four: It is not the desire of God that anyone remain in their sins, separated from Him. God loved us so much, that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross and pay the penalty for our sins. The Bible tells us in Romans 5:8, "But God demonstrated His own love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Step Five: Salvation is a gift of God and it is received by placing our faith in Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Savior. Faith is the declaration of our mouth, as to what we believe in our hearts. The Bible promises, that if we will confess with our mouths, that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God; that He died on the cross for our sins; that He was buried and was raised from the dead; that He is alive in heaven today... we will be saved from paying the penalty for our sins. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10, "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Step Six: Anyone who chooses to believe in Jesus Christ, places their faith in Him and asks to be forgiven of their sins and requests His free gift of eternal life, will be saved and have a personal relationship with God. The Bible promises us in Romans 10:13, "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord, shall be saved."

If you would like to know that your sins are forgiven and that you indeed have a personal relationship with God, pray this simple prayer from your heart:

"Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God and that You died on a cross to pay my sin penalty. I believe that You were buried and that God raised You from the dead. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. I humbly ask You to forgive me of my sins and save me. I invite You to live forever in my heart and to rule over my life from the throne of my heart. I gratefully receive Your gift of eternal life, and in return, I pledge to love and serve You for the rest of my life."

If you prayed this prayer and meant it from your heart, I congratulate you. You are starting on the most exciting and fulfilling journey you could ever imagine. Drop me an and tell me of your decision to give your heart and life to Jesus. I would be honored if you would visit our church this coming Sunday so I could meet you personally and help get you started on your new life in Christ.
