He guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path. Proverbs 2:8-9
Every promise of God is predicated on meeting a condition or requirement. Each condition or requirement will always demand that you make a choice. We are told of three wonderful promises that God made to us recorded in Proverbs 2:8-9.
The first promise is that God will help you discern fraudulent circumstances and the questionable motives of others. The second promise is that God will guard you in your choice to walk in His Word and will see to it that, as you are faithful, you will not become side-tracked. The third promise is that God will show you the right decision to make in every circumstance.
What great promises! However, there are conditions that must be met in order to realize these wonderful promises. You must place a top priority and value on the wisdom that can be derived from God’s Word. You will find in Proverbs 2:1-4 that you must meet the following requirements. First, you must embrace the Word of God with discipline and with delight. Secondly, you must be teachable and willing to put into practice the truths you have discovered. Thirdly, you must be passionate and tenacious in your pursuit of the truths found in the Word of God. Finally, you must place a high value on truth and pursue it with a high expectation of receiving the truth you are pursuing.
The Word of God is your most prized resource. God is anxious to load your life with His abundant blessings. Discipline yourself to embrace His Word and meet every condition and requirement needed in order to realize all that God has promised to you. Do not procrastinate another moment.
